ARTIFICIAL NESTS FOR THE BLACK TERN

In 2019, we started a project to protect terns and gulls, as part of which we installed platforms for black terns in the Kwiecewo polder (Warmia). They are built of styrodur and are designed to encourage the birds to nest. This is necessary when the water begins to lack floating vegetation in spring.

We divided the action of launching 50 platforms into two stages, due to the fact that we underestimated the time and weights on the first attempt ?
